On October 28, 2035, the inevitable battle for dominance in space broke out and the First Lunar War began. Provoked by the American Space Blockade, the Chinese-Russian Alliance attacked the American colonial and resource rich area of Clavius.

Moon Base Clavius is a game depicting the battle for the Moon, 2035. Players assume the roles of commanders of the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and of the People's Liberation Army Aerospace Force (PLAAF) and the Russian Space Forces (RSF)as they fight for Lunar dominance.

Classic wargame - Updated Design

Moon Base Clavius was originally published in 1982 by Task Force Games, with Kerry Anderson as its author. This version includes reworkings by Anderson to address changes made by Task Force Games in the original release. Aside from updates to the advanced game, artwork, and layout, the basic game—faithful to Kerry's original design—is already complete. We anticipate delivering this on schedule.

Four Scenarios

Moon Base Clavius features four dynamic scenarios, immersing players in the escalating conflict of the Lunar War.

In Scenario 1, tensions boil over as the discovery of hidden Chinese nuclear stockpiles leads to war. Chinese forces overrun American outposts in the Tycho sector, igniting fierce battles across the Moon.

Scenario 2 brings players to the siege of Clavius, where Chinese forces outflank American defenses and force a retreat to the crater wall. Supplies dwindle as the colony fights for survival under relentless pressure.

In Scenario 3, the desperate battle for Clavius reaches its climax. The arrival of the USMC 88th Special Forces battalion turns the tide, leading to the defeat of the People's Liberation Army Aerospace Force and securing American victory on the Moon.

Scenario 4 expands the scope, covering the entire struggle over three action-packed days—from the initial Chinese attack to the landing of the Marines and their decisive triumph.
